There are so many exciting happenings in Steamboat Springs this year. We are really looking forward to the 99th Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival, Mardi Gras and the Telemark World Cup all happening in February. There is so much to do when you visit and so little time. While you visit you can snowshoe, snowmobile, dog sled, shop, go tubing, visit the hot springs and of course, ski!

Fall In Steamboat

First day of Fall is tomorrow and you can feel it in the air. We are waking up to crisp mornings and the Aspen leaves are already starting to turn golden in color. There is nothing more beautiful, then Fall in the Rocky Mountains. I encourage you to take advantage of the Inn’s great Fall special, that we are offering now thru Nov. 22. Come stay at the Inn at Steamboat for only $89 a night. There is still plenty of hiking and biking to be done. And of course taking a Gondola ride and catching the breathtaking views, never gets old. The macaroons at Chocolate Soup, hands down, are the best cookies I have ever tasted. They come in 2 flavors Milk Chocolate and Pistachio… I love both!! Even more delightful along with one of their delicious cappuccino’s!

Chocolate Soup has two locations, their original cafe which is on the mountain at the base of the Steamboat Grand and their newer location on Lincoln Ave. in downtown Steamboat Springs, CO.

Their soups and sandwiches are equally as yummy. The atmosphere at both cafes is lovely and charming.

Living in a small town, you really get excited when something new opens up. White Pepper on Lincoln Ave. is a great boutique that just opened up in downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Offering hip and sophisticated clothing for both men and women. Great denim bar with Rock and Republic jeans and plenty of other brands to choose from. Super cozy cashmere sweaters by Autumn Cashmere and darling knit berets to keep you warm. Some brands are a little pricey but plenty that are really reasonable and won’t break the bank. And to finish off your look, super cute jewelry too!!

Looking for some holiday cheer to do with the kiddos? Mainstreet Steamboat Springs will host the Merry Mainstreet event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Lincoln Avenue. The light parade is at 5:30 p.m.

Hot cocoa, Santa Claus, and holiday carolers. Small town good stuff!!!

They are fast and pretty!! I skied on a few different ski’s and they were my favorite and an early Christmas present!!
